What is Your Most Favorite Movie? And Why?

________________________-----________________________

Favorite Movie

Everyone has his/her own favorite movie/s. Movie/s that became a part of their lives, journeys, fantasies, dreams and heartbreaks in the thing called love. So, if someone will ask you, whether from a friend, a family member, a new acquaintance or anyone, "What is your favorite movie and why?," what movie would that be?

If ever someone will ask me this question, my answer would be, hmmm... I have lots of favorite movies but if I can only choose one, it is "Finding Nemo." This movie will always be a part of my life and my journey. I can relate to it, really. And obviously this movie has a great story. A great story about a father's love to his son, that no matter what it takes, he will do everything just to bring his son back to him.

That's all. So it is your turn now. What is your favorite movie and why?

Avatar – Best of James Cameron

________________________-----________________________

Avatar

"Avatar" is the highest grossing film of all time, which overtakes Titanic. Try to search that on the internet for confirmation. It is deserving, isn't it? The film in 3D is highly recognized and praised. Avatar might be the best 3D movie ever made. Watching it in IMAX can really make you feel that you are inside the world of Pandora and you are one of the Na'vi. Very appreciative effects and fascinating, original story. Thanks to James Cameron for coming up with this kind of science fiction film, he is certainly one of the best Directors ever.

Disregard the things that people were saying against this film. That it shows racism among natives. That James Cameron was insenstive and everything. It is just a movie anyway, and I guess it is not his intention to be like that. As a matter of fact, this film gives us some moral lesson in life. Like for example, each of us is entitled to decide on his/her own, which means do not let anyone dictate you what you must do. If you think that what you are doing is right, then go for it! Just like what Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) did in this film. So always look at the bright side of the story and you will really appreciate James Cameron's sci-fi film "Avatar."

The Karate Kid 2010 Inspired Us To Never Say Never

________________________-----________________________

The Karate Kid 2010

Challenges are part of people's life. These make us stronger, braver and better individuals. That is why, whatever problems come our way, we must face them because every problem no matter how big or small, it has always a solution. That is how we must deal life. Without challenges, life is meaningless. So, life must go on. Keep on walking and never say never to any obstacles that hinder us from growing and achieving our goals.

The Karate Kid is another inspirational movie of 2010. Even though it was just a movie, every person can still learn a lot of things from this movie. It shows us that if there is determination and passion in the things that we do, it can highly improve our personality, self-esteem and confidence. Never say never, life is all about that. See? Dre Parker (Jaden Smith) at the age of 12, his Kung Fu skill is already outstanding. And it will not be possible if he does not have determination and the will to learn new things like certain self-defense, the Kung Fu.

We should get inspired by this movie. Always live life to the fullest. Do the things that make you feel happy and content. And remember, never give up. Never say never.

Step Up 3D Soundtrack – One of the Best

________________________-----________________________

Step Up 3D Soundtrack

If there is one movie soundtrack that I could be proud of and would love to listen to all day long, it must be Step Up 3D soundtrack. It has got loads of fantastic songs that will make your body move and shake. I love this soundtrack as much as I love the movie. Step Up 3D, for me, is the best Step Up franchise and one of the best musical and performings arts movies of all time. Really, their music really sounds great and the dance moves, come on, they are all amazing.

2 of my most favorite songs in this soundtrack are "Club Can't Handle Me" by Flo Rida feat. David Guetta (my favorite DJ) and "Fancy Footwork" by Chromeo. And these two songs have been so very memorable to me. A month ago, I heard these songs simultaneously on 2 different radio stations, not just once but 4 times, believe it or not. Anyway, there is another thing that I like from this movie. Have you seen the hand dance in the latter part of the movie? It was fantastic, right? How I wish I could do that.

Alright then, let's try the hand dance to the tune of "Beggin" by MadCon.

Sanctum - Dive and Explore If You Dare

________________________-----________________________

Sanctum

Would you dare yourself to dive and explore a place from which people are excluded? Would you want to be like Aron Ralston in 127 Hours who walked in a canyon all by himself without bringing any communication devices and get trapped? Or be with someone, family or friends, and experience if the cave like in Sanctum is really deadly yet exciting? Think about it. Do you love adventure? Do you love to explore the beauty of our nature? Do you want to be a part of Guinness World Records, the first person who left a footstep in a certain place or be known around the world as the person who discovers something new or rare from a certain place that no one had discovered? Dare yourself! If you want tips on what to bring in your escapade, watch the movie "Sanctum." After that, think again, will you still dare yourself to adventure like in the movie?

"Sanctum", for me, is a great movie. It gives us life lessons, specifically moral lessons. In times of difficulties, we need to deeply think and weigh some things before coming up with conclusion so that in the end there will be no regrets. Aside from that, this film shows its viewers the value of family, like the father-and-son relationship. Frank McGuire (Richard Roxburgh) did everything just to save his son Josh (Rhys Wakefield). The sad part is, Frank died but yet he is the reason why his son got out of the cave. Really, it is a very touching movie, isn't it? So if you want to cry, I dare you, watch this movie!

Cave in Sanctum
Just dive and explore, dare?

The A-Team – It is Totally Fun!

________________________-----________________________

The A-Team

Some were saying that "The A-Team" is nothing but a worthless film. Personally, I do not see it that way. In fact, I am amazed with this movie. This is one of the most humurous and mind-blowing films that I have ever seen. And allow me to say this, this is another Bradley Cooper funny film. He is really hilarious and amusing and yes, of course, the other guys as well. They were born to be together in this film and they have showed us what total entertainment really mean is.

The storyline is good and I would say that it is better than "The Expendables." I really like the way they came up with strategies or techniques on how to beat this and that, to get rid from this and that and how they have found ways to clear their names from being convicted as killers and thieves. And you cannot really expect what is going to happen next. Really awesome. Whew! I want to recommend this film to all of you guys out there. You shall watch it! And have fun!

The A-Team - Grade A+
"The A-Team" deserves a Grade A+.

The Illusionist – Astonishing! Exciting! Shocking!

________________________-----________________________

The Illusionist

"The Illusionist" - one of the remarkable masterpieces of all time, a movie that will give rise to your unwanted illusions. It has twists that everyone had surely loved and will love by those who are planning to watch it. It has a shocking ending, an unexpected twist.

If there is one fantasy, myterious movie that I would love to watch again and again, this is the ONE, "The Illusionist." A not-so-common movie. A movie that can make your heart beats faster and slower. 3 adjectives that everyone will feel while watching this movie. Astonishing. Exciting. Shocking. If you have got something to add, you may. Another thing that I would like to say is - this movie will keep you guessing on how, why, where, when, everything. There will be big questions that will stay in your mind that has only been answered in the latter part of the story.

Edward Norton, the actor who played Eisenheim did really great in this film. He is indeed an effective illusionist. Not only him who made the "The Illusionist" an extraorinary film of 2006. Everyone did a great performance. There is Jessica Biel, Rufus Sewell, Paul Giamatti and many good actors. And of course, this film made possible by Neil Burger with his staff and colleagues.

The Illusionist
You are going to love this one too.

How To Train Your Dragon – Dreamworks At Its Best

________________________-----________________________

How to Train Your Dragon

"How to Train Your Dragon" was produced by Dreamworks. Dreamworks proved that dreams do really work. Last 2010, it created a 3D and animated film that is magnificent and has an excellent unique story and wonderful, unexpected ending. This film gives us the inspiration to be brave and courageous no matter how big or small we are. It likes saying that we should believe in ourselves. Each of us is capable of something that others cannot. Like in this film, Hiccup (voiced by Jay Baruchel) who had a very brilliant and open mind; he observed the behavior of the Night Fury and he had discovered that this gigantic reptile (dragon) that everyone's get rid of is like other animals that can be trained and treated like a human because Toothless (a name he gave to the Night Fury) and other dragons also have feelings. Hiccup was the one who made his father Stoick (voiced by Gerard Butler) and other Vikings realized that dragons were not totally harmful, they are just hunting foods for their queen. Only freedom from the queen is the only way to stop them from hunting foods and destroying properties and killing people. Nothing is impossible, right? The teamwork of Hiccup and Toothless and other villagers worked (in real life, teamwork is always important), they succesfully killed the queen.

I watched this film in 3D and it was really fantastic. And my nephew really loves this film, he watched it over and over and over again, he really enjoys watching it. Well, looks who's speaking, alright, I have already watched this film plenty of times. LOL! This is one of the greatest films that I have ever seen. If you do not agree with me, it is fine. By the way, I heard that it is going to have a Part 2. Is that true or just a rumor? I hope it is true.

How to Train Your Dragon
My favorite line in this film – Hiccup (to Toothless): "Thank you for nothing you useless reptile!"

Captain America: The First Avenger – A Non-Avenger's Review

________________________-----________________________

Captain America: The First Avenger

Yesterday, we reminisced the 1990 film version of Captain America. Just a recap, I have said that this film was not good, right? Alright then, moving on, I would like to say my piece about the 2011 "Captain America: The First Avenger." I have read some reviews, some were saying that this film looks wonderful, entertaining, excellent and many other positive remarks. If many viewers liked it, well on the other side of the wall, there are some who did not: it lacks advantage that can excite its viewers.

Personally, "Captain America: The First Avenger" is such a great film, although, I fell asleep and have not completely seen some of the scenes in the first quarter of the film. It was OK, I still managed to understand the story. The story was clearly made to be understood by all ages. Aside from that, Chris Evans did very well in this film. I can say that he is indeed better than Matt Salinger (no offense meant).

"Captain America: The First Avenger" is a must-see film, the effects, the action scenes, the excitements, everything that a viewer wants to see in a film is definitely present here. I think, beside Iron Man, it is may be the best Marvel movie yet.

Captain America: The First Avenger - Round Shield
One of Captain America's powerful weapons, the Round Shield.

Captain America: Reminiscing the Old One Way Back in 1990

________________________-----________________________

Captain America 1990

Today's Captain America (2011) is Chris Evans, but do you know that this First Avenger had been already made into a movie way back in 1990? It was portrayed by Matt Salinger. Unfortunately, this 1990 film version of Captain America was not good at all. Every element in this movie was dissatisfying, ridiculous or in other word, disappointing. For me, I guess, Matt Salinger was not the right actor to play in the titled role. He is not the type of a guy who can show what a real superhero is capable of.

I admit, when I was still a kid, I was amazed and I used to like this 1990 sci-fi film, but now I am not. I have come to realize that watching this film was nothing but a total waste of time. And I am sure that if kids of today's generation are going to watch it, they will surely won't like it. So I may suggest that it is better not to watch it. Better move on to the new one, "Captain America: The First Avenger" and feel the real elements of heroism.

Captain America - Chris Evans
"I am better than the old one."

Forrest Gump: One of the Best Movies of Tom Hanks

________________________-----________________________

Forrest Gump

There is no doubt how superb actor Tom Hanks is. He has already won two Academy Awards for Best Actor, one is for his role as Andrew Beckett in the 1993 film Philapelphia. And he also have uncountable awards from other prestigious award giving body. His excellency is always recognized and admired.

His mother always said in the 1994 film Forrest Gump, where Tom Hanks received his second Academy Award for Best Actor, "Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you gonna get." Yes it is so true. Life is full of surprises. This film showed us how we must live our life to the fullest, how we should treasure every moment of it, how we must face all the challenges or obstacles that hinder us to become what we want to be, what we must do in order to make our loved ones happy and proud of us, made us realize how important our family and friends are, and lastly, this film taught us that we should set limitations in the name of love.

Forrest Gump served as an inspiration to everybody. In this film, people looked at him as a stupid man and yet his actions do not show stupidity. "Stupid is as stupid does." Do not let anyone call you stupid but if they do, it is only you who can prove to them, who can show them that your every action does not confirm the thing that they think of you. You should know that in yourself.

Forrest Gump is a must-see film. Although it is kinda classic, it is really worth watching. You will get inspire and realize that there is more to life than what you have right now, really.

Tom Hanks in the 67th Annual Academy Awards® (1995)
Tom Hanks in the 67th Annual Academy Awards® (1995).
Best Actor for his performance in "Forrest Gump" as Forrest Gump.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2: The Epic Review

________________________-----________________________

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2

Let me get straight to the point, I just would like to express my opinion or my review about this movie so everyone should respect it. Alright, let's get it on. I read the book and I already watched the movie. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 has a satisfying epic conclusion. Just like the book, the movie was also intense, thrilling and exciting. However, I have noticed some things in this film that are somehow NEGATIVE and there are also POSITIVE.

Negative

* The movie was so dark. It is not recommendable to be watched in 3D.
* The story moved so fast. I talked to some of my friends who did not read the book and they said that they did not quite understand the story. I guess, if I were one of them, I may not understand it too.
* When Voldemort smiled and laughed, it feels like I was watching a comedy film. His smile and laugh were very annoying and hilarious.
* Have you noticed Luna Lovegood after Harry destroyed Voldemort? Was it not amusing seeing her still neat and clean? Did she really fight? LOL!
* The death of Fred Weasley. One of the saddest part in the book. What on Earth had happened in the movie? Why he has not been given importance? Viewers deserved to see how Fred died.

Positive

* Honestly, I was shocked and amazed with the ending. Very excellent ending. The change worked so fine and effective and applaudable. The death of Nagini and Voldemort was one of a kind.
* I was expecting that the Prince's Tale in the movie is going to be awesome, and it was! I was not disappointed. Young Lily and Young Snape were adorable.
* Daniel Radcliffe proved that he has got what it takes to be a superhero, a leading man, a heartthrob and a sought-after actor of his generation. In Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, he truly showed his fans who Harry Potter really is.
* My thumbs up for Matthew Lewis, he did a great job playing the role of Neville Longbottom.
* The effects (visual, digital, make-up, etc.) were also great!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 - Neville Longbottom and Luna Lovegood
Neville: Where have you been, Luna?
Luna: Oh! It's none of your business, Neville. (chuckle)

The Weasley Twins in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

________________________-----________________________

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - The Weasley Twins

George and Fred Weasley, the Weasley twins in Harry Potter movie series. Since Harry, Hermione and Ron's first year in Hogwarts, these twins were very cheerful, fond of joking, inventive and shall I say, good-looking. They are the comic-relief. George Weasley, played by Oliver Phelps while Fred Weasley, played by James Phelps, who are real life twins. The ones who were responsible why viewers smiled and laughed at their amusing and hilarious punchlines and wickedness. Yeah, wicked!

In the final book and movie of Harry Potter, these Weasley twins had unluckily experienced an unexpected incident of their lives under Voldemort's Death Eaters. George got injured, he lost his ear. On the other hand, Fred, it is so sad to say, he died. I was shocked when I read that part of the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows book. A great lost to Weasley family. But J.K. Rowling is such a great writer. She made Fred a hero who fought for what is right and what must exist in this world even if the price is his life.

These twins will always be remembered even though Harry Potter's era has been concluded. Wicked!

Baby Oliver and James Phelps
Can you recognize them? If yes, which is which?

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2: Ralph Fiennes

________________________-----________________________

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 - Ralph Fiennes as Lord Voldemort

Lord Voldemort - wizards and witches are forbidden to speak his name, He-Must-Not-Be-Named but I must name the man behind Lord Voldemort's scary and snake-like face. You-Know-Who, right? There is no other than the Muggle-born Ralph Fiennes. Ralph Fiennes had started playing the role of Voldemort in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Many were shocked, including me, in so many great actors in the whole world, why him, why Ralph Fiennes was chosen to portray Lord Voldemort? Well, best choice! Ralph Fiennes is the perfect Lord Voldemort. He made all the kids afraid of Voldemort. As the antagonist to Harry Potter, he showed us how dreadful a Dark Lord is. From his mouth: in the way he speaks, laughs and screams, to his eyes: as he stares as if any time he will kill you.

I have got nothing more to say about him, about Ralph Fiennes as Lord Voldemort. He did his part extremely well in all 5 Harry Potter franchises including the 2-Part Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Again and again, if you have not watched Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 yet, watch it or else the Dark Lord will visit and curse you.

Daniel Radcliffe and Ralph Fiennes
The Boy Who Lived and the Dark Lord...

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows 2: Helena Bonham Carter

________________________-----________________________

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 - Helena Bonham Carter as Bellatrix Lestrange

Helena Bonham Carter is one of the actresses who I admire and always on-the-go to watch her in movies, tv shows and even in magazines. She is definitely one of the main reasons why I became an avid fan of Harry Potter movies. When I heard the news that she will play the role of Bellatrix Lestrange in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, (sweating) I got really excited. If you have noticed, mostly of her movies she portrayed a role which are so weird, right? And she did those roles very well. My thumbs up for her.

As Bellatrix Lestrange, she was awesome... Really awesome. Scary. Crazy. Loyal servant of Voldemort. She is very eager to find ways on how to bring Harry alive to her master.

Indeed, she was a brilliant actress. In the final franchise of Harry Potter movies, I was really amused when Hermione disguises herself to be Bellatrix Lestrange by means of Polyjuice Potion. Helena Bonham Carter was a different Bellatrix there. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 made me smile and at the same time, it made me sad. Smile because she did the Bellatrix' role as what Bellatrix is in the book. Sad because she died. But all in all, Helena Bonham Carter completes the powerful star-studded cast of Harry Potter franchises from Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.

Harry Potter 7: Alan Rickman As the Half-Blood Prince

________________________-----________________________

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 - Alan Rickman as Severus Snape

Alan Rickman played the role of Severus Snape in Harry Potter movies, who is known to be the Half-Blood Prince. Now that Harry Potter movie has come to its end, as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 has invaded the big screen last July 15, 2011 and is still showing worldwide, loads of Severus Snape's secrets has been revealed. Shocking revelations. A twist in the end. An unfortunate event in Snape's life: his death. If you have read the book or watched the movie, you definitely know what I mean.

Being Severus Snape is a huge privilege. One of the Harry Potter characters that needed to be portrayed with justice and only Alan Rickman is the perfect actor who fitted for that role. He played his role fantastically. Same with the book, Snape in the movie did not show obvious gestures to Harry that he protects him, that he made a vow to Dumbledore. The main reason? It is because of his love for Lily Potter.

It all ends. The end of Alan Rickman's role as Severus Snape. Watch him in the last Harry Potter movie, in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.

Emma Watson is such a pretty girl when she started appearing as Hermione Granger in the movie Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. Then, we witnessed how she got matured in the next 6 Harry Potter series. We were amazed in the way she portrays her role in every Harry Potter movie. She was excellent as an actress. And now, she is one of the sought-after actresses of her generation. Her world being an actress will not end as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. As excellent and beautiful actress as her has a long road to walk on. There will be project after project for her.

Unbeatable Rio Soundtrack For 2011

________________________-----________________________

Rio Movie
"Let me take you to Rio, Rio, fly'o the ocean like an eagle". Whew! I got LSS with this song since I watched the movie Rio on the big screen. Its title is "Let Me Take You to Rio" by Ester Dean & Carlinhos Brown and it has also another version, personally I can say that it is much better than the other one, it is "Take You to Rio" by Ester Dean. These songs are part of the awesome Rio Soundtrack. Rio Soundtrack has 13 tracks. Here is the list:

1. Real In Rio --- Performed by Jesse Eisenberg, Jamie Foxx, Anne Hathaway, George Lopez, Will i Am and The Rio Singers)
2. Let Me Take You to Rio (Blu's Arrival) --- Performed by Ester Dean & Carlinhos Brown
3. Mas Que Nada (2011 Rio Version) --- Performed by Sergio Mendes & Gracinha Leporance
4. Hot Wings (I Wanna Party) --- Performed by Will i Am, Jamie Foxx & Anne Hathaway
5. Pretty Bird --- Performed by Jemaine Clement
6. Fly Love --- Performed by Jamie Foxx
7. Telling the World --- Performed by Taio Cruz
8. Funky Monkey --- Performed by Siedah Garrett, Carlinhos Brown, Mikael Mutti & Davi Vieira
9. Take You to Rio --- Performed by Ester Dean
10. Balanço Carioca --- Performed by Mikael Mutti
11. Sapo Cai --- Performed by Carlinhos Brown & Mikael Mutti
12. Samba de Orly --- Performed by Bebel Gilberto
13. Valsa Carioca --- Performed by Sergio Mendes

I do not know some of the singers here but they sang all the songs very well, I guess they are foreign singers from South America. And oh, I did not know that Jesse Eisenberg and Anne Hathaway are singers. Thumbs up for them.

All of these songs in this Rio sountrack are my favorites but I have this called "my most favorite". A superb one. It is Fly Love which sang by Jamie Foxx. I am so deeply in love with this song. It can be dedicated to someone special, someone that your heart beats for. To someone you love.

Rio Sountrack
What about you? What is your most like song in Rio Soundtrack?

Megamind is a Mega Amazing Movie

________________________-----________________________

Megamind

I know it is too late for me to say my piece about Megamind but well no one can stop me I guess. I really, really want to say something good about this movie. You know, there are people who have not watched this movie yet. And I want to encourage them to watch it. Anyway, Megamind is a mega amazing movie which was produced by Paramount Studios and directed by Tom McGrath and Cameron Hood. This movie is quite new to me when it comes to superhero genre. It can be called as a "Protagonist villain". Thanks to Will Ferrell who voiced Megamind and to Brad Pitt who voiced Metro Man, a good-looking rival of Megamind. These two guys did an awesome job. Their rivalry works as animated superhero characters.

Alright, regarding the movie, no wonder why this movie was such a success last year. Everything in this movie was so close to perfection. No one will feel regret after watching it. The kids, teens and adults or the whole family will absolutely enjoy this movie. Aside from being enjoyable, this movie is less predictable. Who would expect that Metro Man faked his death? And who could tell that that nerdy Hal Stewart (voiced of Jonah Hill) became powerful and Megamind's enemy? Come on, no one. And lastly, this movie is fun, fun, fun, fun. So watch it!

Megamind - Ferrell VS Pitt
Blue or White?

Transformers 3: Best in 3D But Not in Story

________________________-----________________________

Transformers: Dark of the Moon

I watched Transformers: Dark of the Moon in 3D last week. What made me watch it? I watched it because I was curious with the story and I am interested with the new girl of Shia LaBeouf who was Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. She replaced Megan Fox, not the role of course; it will be a great insult to Megan if it was, right? Anyway, Transformers 3 is the most exciting Transformers movie ever made. The effects were cool. The battle scenes were awesome, shocking, thrilling, anything. Yet, what made me disappointed with this movie, well also my friends are, the story is so cliché and nothing so extraordinary with it. Yeah, expect the unexpected. Optimus Prime gets to be killed and in the end he would survive because someone or something saved him then that’s it, the movie will have a happy ending. Well, honestly I am not happy with it. I was disappointed!

There are some scenes which are tedious and full of rubbishes. Sorry to say this but this was not Michael Bay’s best movie ever made. But still, I am looking forward for more of Michael Bay, he remains as one of the respected and brilliant Directors who ever lived.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon - Bumblebee
P.S. Good thing, Bumblebee did not die.
